Programme Spark

Sections could be split into groups to plan a meal that can be cooked on an open fire. Groups should buy and prepare all the ingredients as well as ensuring they have all the correct cooking equipment too.

Groups should build and light a fire suitable for their location, then cook and serve their meal to their choice of diners - leader or parents.

Afterwards, they should ensure everything is cleaned and tidied away, as well as making sure their fire is extinguished safely.

Adapting for each Section

Badge Links

Beavers could make a simple one course meal with adult support.

Cubs should vary how they cook each component using the requirements in the Backwoods Cooking badge.
