Pulling has recently been reviewed as part of the rolling review of all activities within the activity permit scheme. The updated resources can as ever be found from the A-Z of Activities at www.scouts.org.uk/a-z, but to summarise the updates:
FS120660 - Pulling
- The definition of pulling has been updated to incorporate the smaller boats that can be used for this activity.
- The permit limitations section has been updated to separate the use of single and double handed craft from the use of larger vessels and gives the ratios which apply for each type of boat.
AC120929 - Assessment Checklist for Pulling - Leadership
- Introduction of an equivalent level qualification.
