DESCRIPTION:Connecting Scouts Across the World\nOur JOTA-JOTI event brings the world of Scouting together. \nJamboree on the Air (JOTA) and Jamboree on the Internet (JOTI) give young people the chance to connect with Scouts from across the globe using radio and digital communication. It’s international Scouting in action — without leaving Humberside. \nThis is your opportunity to speak\, message and share experiences with Scouts from different countries\, cultures and communities. \nWhat to Expect\nDuring the event\, young people will: \n– Use amateur radio to speak with Scouts around the world\n– Connect online through safe\, moderated platforms\n– Learn about global Scouting and international traditions\n– Take part in communication challenges and team activities\n– Develop digital awareness and communication skills \nExperienced volunteers will support every station\, ensuring a safe\, structured and engaging experience for all sections taking part. \nJOTA-JOTI helps young people to: \n– Build confidence speaking to new people\n– Develop communication skills\n– Gain a wider understanding of the world\n– Experience the international spirit of Scouting \nIt’s a powerful reminder that Scouts are part of something bigger. \nSquirrels\, Beavers\, Cubs\, Scouts\, Explorers\, Network and Adult Volunteers can attend for the day – Saturday 17th October. Day visitors are £10 each\, with Squirrels being £6 each. \nScouts\, Explorers\, Network and Adult Volunteers have the option of making it a weekend event and staying from Friday 16th October – Sunday 18th October. Campers are £15 per young person. Groups will need to add extra fees on for food for the weekend and sort their own food. \nEach YP attending will receive the official 2026 JOTA JOTI badge. DESCRIPTION:Big Rides. Late Nights. Proper Scarefest.\nWe’re heading to Alton Towers for Scarefest — and this one’s aimed at Scouts\, Explorers and Network. Leaders\, you’re coming too. \nAs the park transforms for its Halloween season\, expect longer ride times\, live scare mazes\, themed zones and that unique after-dark atmosphere. It’s the same world-class theme park\, just louder\, darker and a little more intense. \nIf you’re up for it\, this is your kind of trip. \nWhat to Expect\nScarefest brings together thrill rides and seasonal experiences\, including: \n– Access to Alton Towers’ headline rollercoasters\n– Extended evening ride times in the dark\n– Themed scare attractions and live entertainment\n– Time to explore the park in groups\n– A full day out with friends from across the County \nYoung people will attend in organised groups with clear supervision arrangements and agreed meeting points throughout the day. \nWho It’s For\nThis trip is open to: \n– Scouts\n– Explorer Scouts\n– Scout Network\n– Leaders who fancy proving they’re still brave enough \nIt’s a chance to enjoy something different together — outside the usual meeting night and out in the wider world. \nTo book your spaces\, please complete the booking form – Alton Towers – ScareFest 2026 – Fill out form \nSpaces are limited\, and will be on a first-come\, first-served basis. Explorers do not need to attend with their leaders but will be required to check in regularly with the Events Team during the event.
