DESCRIPTION:Join the Water Activities Team for a sailing taster session with your Section! \nSailing Sessions are suitable for Beavers\, Cubs\, Scouts and Explorers. \n  \nThere are 2 sessions available over the day: \n\nAM session: 09:30 – 12:00\nPM session: 12:30 – 15:00\n\nScout and Explorer Sections are welcome to book both sessions on the same day if they wish to spend the whole day on the water. Beavers and Cubs should choose a session or change the young people in between sessions. \n  \nSailing Sessions are £32 per boat\, which can hold a maximum of 4 young people in. \nYou will be charged per boat used on the day\, with a maximum of 12 young people over 3 boats (maximum cost of £96). \n  \nPersonal details required and permission to take part in the session will be collected by OSM\, if your Section has the Parent Portal and Events features. See the World Differently.\nOur Beavers are picking up their cameras and exploring the world through a new lens at our Beaver Photography Badge Day. \nThis creative\, hands-on event is designed to help young people work through the Beaver Photography Badge criteria in a fun\, practical and supportive environment. It’s all about observation\, creativity and telling a story through images. \nWhat They’ll Be Doing\nThroughout the day\, Beavers will take part in a range of activities to complete the requirements of their Photography badge. This will include: \n– Learning how to hold and use a camera or device safely\n– Understanding what makes a good photograph\n– Exploring different types of photos\, from portraits to action shots\n– Taking photographs indoors and outdoors\n– Reviewing and talking about the photos they’ve taken \nAll activities are age-appropriate and led by experienced volunteers\, with a strong focus on safety\, creativity and building confidence. \nWhy It Matters\nThe Beaver Photography Badge isn’t just about taking pictures. DESCRIPTION:We are taking Explorers and Network to Monopoly Run Live in March 2026!\nMonopoly Run Live: The Ultimate London Scout & Guide Adventure!\nGet ready for the country’s largest Monopoly-themed event! \nMonopoly Run Live transforms the real streets of London into your massive game board. Join 9\,000 other Scouts and Guides from across the UK for the ultimate Wide Game experience. \nUsing a bespoke mobile app\, your team will race to visit the capital’s most iconic locations. It’s the perfect way to explore the city\, have an unforgettable weekend\, and develop essential #skillsforlife! \nYour London Weekender: Outline Programme\n \nFriday\, March 6th\, 2026: Arrival\nWe’ll travel in comfort by coach\, departing from 17:30. We’ve got a long trip ahead\, with a choice of 2–3 local pick-up points depending on final numbers. Our base for the weekend will be the South London Scout Centre in Dulwich\, where we’ll have indoor accommodation. We’ll arrive late Friday night and head straight to bed\, ready for an early start! \nSaturday\, March 7th\, 2026: The Run!\nIt’s an early rise! After a quick breakfast\, we’ll take the train into Central London to get ready for the main event. \nThe Game:\nExplorers can form their own teams (minimum of 3 and maximum of 7)\, either within your unit or with friends from other groups. \nWe’ll make sure everyone understands the rules before we unleash you onto the streets! \nThe Humberside Scouts Event Team will be in Central London all day\, checking in with teams regularly\, monitoring progress\, and providing support whenever needed. \nEvening Fun: After the Monopoly Run finishes\, we’ll all meet up\, and you’ll get a couple of hours of free time to explore the West End and enjoy some shopping. We then head back to Dulwich for a well-earned dinner and a good rest. \nSunday\, March 8th\, 2026: Sightseeing & Return\nAfter breakfast\, we’ll pack up our gear\, load the coach\, and head back into Central London for a few more hours of exploring! \nWe’ll start the day at a museum or major tourist attraction. (Got ideas? Let us know—we welcome your suggestions!) \nExplorers will then have more free time for sightseeing\, more shopping\, or grabbing lunch. \nWe’ll meet up at 14:00 to board the coach and head home. \nCost and What’s Included\nThe maximum cost for Explorers is £150 per person. \nYour fee is all-inclusive and covers: \n\nReturn Coach Travel from our central area to London (Friday/Sunday).\nAccommodation for the weekend at the South London Scout Centre in Dulwich (mostly bunks\, with a small number of floor spaces).\nMeals: Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday\, plus the Evening Meal on Saturday.\nEvent Entry Fees for Monopoly Run Live (includes a commemorative badge!).\nAll Weekend Trips: Transport and entry costs for the Sunday sightseeing attraction and the Saturday West End trip.\n\nWhat Explorers Need to Bring\nPlease ensure you are prepared for the weekend with: \n\nPacked lunches or money to buy lunch on Saturday and Sunday.\nTravel or Contactless Cards for use on the TfL (Transport for London) network. Let your Young People have their say about how we can best support them to complete their Top Awards! \nWhen is It?\nOn the 24th January 2026 we are hosting the first Humberside Scouts Youth Forum for Scouts in the morning and Explorers in the afternoon. \nWho Can Go on the Day?\nYou can sign up 4 Young People per Section/ Unit to take part on the day. \nBut everyone gets their chance to have their say\, including you\, with some activities to be ran after the event in your sections. \nYoung People attending the event will need to be confident enough to support the running of these similar activities after the Forum back at your section. \nHow to Get Involved?\nPlease complete this online form with the nominated Young People’s Details so we can contact their Parents Directly in the run up to the event. SUMMARY:Explorer WinterFest
DESCRIPTION:WinterFest is an Explorer weekend with a difference!\nEnjoy all the usual fun and adventure of an Explorer event but throw in some TV Game Shows such as I’m a Celebrity\, The Apprentice\, The Cube and maybe a little sprinkling of Come Dine With Me and a serving of House of Games and you get one epic weekend! \nThere are a few beds available otherwise there’s always camping! \nBookings are now open for £55 per Explorer Scout – this includes all your food for the weekend\, accommodation and activities. \nNumbers are limited so get booking now! \nBookings\nExplorer Units can sign up as a unit via their Explorer Leader.  \nWe are currently FULL but please send an email to http://events@humbersidescouts.org.uk and we will see what options are available!  \nLeaders\nLeaders can attend with their Explorers\, but if you cannot attend\, please get in touch as we have members of the Events Team who can assist. \nThe cost for Leaders attending is £10.00 per person\, to cover food costs for the weekend.  \nLeaders will be used to deliver the Programme over the weekend\, as directed by the Events Team. \nNAN Forms\nEveryone will be camping on the permit of the Leader in Charge\, so one central NAN Form will be submitted. SUMMARY:Christmas comes to Raywell!
DESCRIPTION:We are bringing Christmas to Raywell!\nJoin us for a fun day taking part in Christmas activities\, exploring Raywell\, Christmas crafts\, and of course visiting Santa in his grotto!  \nThis event is open to Squirrels\, Beavers\, and Cubs and we will enjoying Christmas at Raywell from 10am until 3pm. \nChristmas outfits are optional and everyone will need to wear a necker. Leaders will need to come with their group according to the ratios of their section. Everyone will need a packed lunch. \nSnacks\, juice\, and hot drinks will be available. Each young person will also receive a gift from Santa! There’s an optional Scouts Christmas Badge which will be available to order at £1.80 each this year we have a capybara Christmas badge\, Fleece Navidad\, and Fa La Llama badge! \nThere will be members from the Humberside unit attending the 2027 World Scout Jamboree selling their crafts as well so please bring a few pennies to support them! \nThere is also minibus transport available to and from your scout hut on a first come first served basis and for an extra cost.
