DESCRIPTION:Module A is the only Module that all Young Leaders must complete\, within 3 months of becoming a Young Leader.  \nBookings\nWe use an online system called Online Scout Manager to easily coordinate all our admin for Young Leader Training. It is a safe\, secure and GDPR compliant system that saves Leaders a lot of time and it also saves a lot of paper. See the World Differently.\nOur Beavers are picking up their cameras and exploring the world through a new lens at our Beaver Photography Badge Day. \nThis creative\, hands-on event is designed to help young people work through the Beaver Photography Badge criteria in a fun\, practical and supportive environment. It’s all about observation\, creativity and telling a story through images. \nWhat They’ll Be Doing\nThroughout the day\, Beavers will take part in a range of activities to complete the requirements of their Photography badge. This will include: \n– Learning how to hold and use a camera or device safely\n– Understanding what makes a good photograph\n– Exploring different types of photos\, from portraits to action shots\n– Taking photographs indoors and outdoors\n– Reviewing and talking about the photos they’ve taken \nAll activities are age-appropriate and led by experienced volunteers\, with a strong focus on safety\, creativity and building confidence. \nWhy It Matters\nThe Beaver Photography Badge isn’t just about taking pictures. DESCRIPTION:A chance for Young Leaders to complete Module F on an evening. \nThis is ideal for anyone who is unable to attend our February Training Weekend. \nBookings\nWe use an online system called Online Scout Manager to easily coordinate all our admin for Young Leader Training. It is a safe\, secure and GDPR compliant system that saves Leaders a lot of time and it also saves a lot of paper. This system also has a portal for Parents/Guardians to access and provide us with all the details we need\, without having to complete any paper forms. \nIf you have booked onto a Training Weekend through OSM before\, then you will receive an email inviting you\, direct from OSM. \nIf you already use OSM for your Young Leader\, then please ask their Section Leader to share them with us and you won’t have to set up another login. \nCost\nYoung Leader Training is free of charge to all Young Leaders in Humberside County. \nHowever\, you still need to book on via OSM and the County reserve the right to make a charge of £10 per person for any places booked where people do not turn up or cancel prior to the training date\, with short notice. \nPlaces cancelled after 12th March are subject to the £10 charge. \nWhat to bring\nPlease wear something comfortable for taking part in the training and your necker. \nIf you already have one\, please bring your YL Logbook with you. Join 9\,000 other Scouts and Guides from across the UK for the ultimate Wide Game experience. \nUsing a bespoke mobile app\, your team will race to visit the capital’s most iconic locations. It’s the perfect way to explore the city\, have an unforgettable weekend\, and develop essential #skillsforlife! \nYour London Weekender: Outline Programme\n \nFriday\, March 6th\, 2026: Arrival\nWe’ll travel in comfort by coach\, departing from 17:30. We’ve got a long trip ahead\, with a choice of 2–3 local pick-up points depending on final numbers. Our base for the weekend will be the South London Scout Centre in Dulwich\, where we’ll have indoor accommodation. We’ll arrive late Friday night and head straight to bed\, ready for an early start! \nSaturday\, March 7th\, 2026: The Run!\nIt’s an early rise! After a quick breakfast\, we’ll take the train into Central London to get ready for the main event. \nThe Game:\nExplorers can form their own teams (minimum of 3 and maximum of 7)\, either within your unit or with friends from other groups. \nWe’ll make sure everyone understands the rules before we unleash you onto the streets! \nThe Humberside Scouts Event Team will be in Central London all day\, checking in with teams regularly\, monitoring progress\, and providing support whenever needed. \nEvening Fun: After the Monopoly Run finishes\, we’ll all meet up\, and you’ll get a couple of hours of free time to explore the West End and enjoy some shopping. We then head back to Dulwich for a well-earned dinner and a good rest. \nSunday\, March 8th\, 2026: Sightseeing & Return\nAfter breakfast\, we’ll pack up our gear\, load the coach\, and head back into Central London for a few more hours of exploring! \nWe’ll start the day at a museum or major tourist attraction. (Got ideas?
