Elloughton-cum-Brough Scouts took their tastebuds on an adventure this month with a creative and educational International Cooking Night. Spread across two nights, each of the ten Patrols drew a country at random — from Mexico to Japan — and set off on a mini journey of discovery.
The first challenge? Learn something about their chosen country: its customs, cuisine, and culture. The second? Come back on another evening and cook up a dish that brought those flavours to life!
With the halls filled with the smells of spices, sizzling dishes, and the chatter of teamwork, Scouts whipped up everything from hearty pasta to exotic stir-fries. It wasn’t just about the food — it was about learning, sharing, and developing real-life skills (plus a few burnt bits here and there... but we won’t tell!).
Well done to every Patrol that took part — your creativity and curiosity brought the world a little closer to home!
