If you ever need a reminder that Scouting is a team sport, 2nd Driffield Scouts have delivered it again — with glitter, creativity, and a proper community effort. 🎄

This week, the Scouts (and their families) came up trumps with a fantastic Christmas crafting session, producing a brilliant batch of handmade decorations. The results were genuinely lovely — the kind of decorations you actually want on your tree… not the “I’ll hide that round the back” kind. 😉

And the best bit? These decorations are being made to sell at the Christmas Bingo, helping support the group and all the adventures still to come.

A proper Scout Crew effort

What made the evening special wasn’t just the crafting — it was the atmosphere. Families pitching in, young people getting stuck in, and everyone helping each other out.

There’s something about a room full of Scouts crafting that’s guaranteed to produce:

  • brilliant ideas
  • creative chaos
  • lots of laughter
  • and at least one person covered in glue by the end 😅

It’s exactly the kind of feel-good, hands-on session that shows how Scouting brings people together — and it’s why we’re so proud of the volunteer teams and families that make it all happen.

Support the group (and have a cracking evening)

If you fancy a fun night out and want to support local Scouting at the same time, keep an eye out for the Christmas Bingo event. It’s a great chance to come along, say hello, and see what the group’s been up to — and you might even leave with a handmade decoration or two.

Thank you, you absolute legends

Huge thanks to everyone who helped make the session a success — Scouts, families, and leaders. We honestly couldn’t wish for a better Scout Crew ❤️
