County Scout Camp 2019

6pm Friday 3rd -
3pm Monday 6th, May 2019

Guaranteed! A fantastic weekend of fun, challenge and adventure, coming to you - at a very affordable price.

Planning continues....

The County Camp Team met on 6 November to pull together some of the detail for the camp. We're in the process of agreeing some of the finer details of the camp in order to make it the usual success.  As these things are agreed, information will be added to this page.

Camp Programme

Following feedback from members within the county, the programme has been amended and finalised.

Camp Badge

We're looking for a design for our camp badge. We don't want to limit your ideas, so think broad and don't worry about it being themed or even representative of camping if you don't want to.  If you have an amazing design, that's what we're looking for!

The design can be submitted by any section and should the winner be from a non Scout section, we will arrange a suitable presentation on the Saturday afternoon of the camp.

Download the design template below.

Nights Away Permits

We want as many people as possible to be able to take part and don't want leaders to be restricted by either not having a Nights way Permit, or not having one of the correct category (campsite). If you want to bring your troop, or want to send them with other leaders and need someone with a permit, just let us know and we'll arrange for you to camp on another permit. ]

Note: The provision of a permit holder, does not affect adult ratios and therefore groups must ensure that they have sufficient adults for the young people in their party (one adult per 12 young people - minimum 2 adults).

Activities

A list of activities are currently being drawn up for the event. We're looking at what exciting activities to bring in, to make the event as much fun as possible. If you have an idea, we'd still welcome your input too.

Some of the activities that the team are looking at providing are:

  • Quad Bikes
  • Aerial Runway
  • Human Battleships
  • Retro Gaming
  • Raspberry Pi Programming
  • Drone Racing
  • Axe Throwing
  • Inflatable Bungee Run
  • Mini Tanks
  • Rifle Shooting
  • Climbing
  • Archery
  • Trampolines
  • Arts and Crafts
  • ....there's bound to be more too as we get closer to the event!

Health Forms and Shooting Permission Forms

The health forms for both adults and young people can be found below. All participants of the camp are requried to have completed and submitted a form prior to the camp.

As one of the camp activities will be Rifle Shooting, all young people (under 18) wishing to take part in this activity must have parental permission to do so using the form provided below.
