Raywell Park Activities

Basic safety procedures are incorporated into very activity undertaken. Individual booking forms and hire rates are available to download for all activities. Where applicable activities are subject to weather conditions and the availability of instructors.

Climbing, Abseiling, Archery and Air Rifle Shooting can either be booked with an instructor provided or alternatively you may provide your own.

Adventure Trail

Junior adventure trail to be used for children up to the ages of 12 years of age with various challenges for fun and games.

Agility Course

Currently under maintenance.

Air Rifle Shooting

This is an all weather provision, rifles are .177 calibre with the inclusion of a site range officer. Two hour session.

Note: All users of the range must have required permission (or parental permission for those under 18) which includes a signed declaration that participants are not prohibited persons under Section 21 of the 1968 Firearms Act. A link to download the permission form is provided here:

Archery

An outdoor range. Two hour session.

Camp Fire Circle

Galleries to seat several hundred people

Climbing and Abseiling

Raywell Park Boasts the only free standing outdoor climbing facility within the region. Minimum two hour session.

Games Shed

Access to our games shed is available for a small fee, this holds a selection of outdoor activity equipment.

Grass Sledges

6 grass sledges are available for hire - user led activity.

Orienteering

On site activity, maps are available from the office on request.

Pioneering

Equipment is available for most activities, however advanced notification is required.

Pedal Cars

4 pedal cars are available for hire - user led activity

Training Courses

Residential or days only. Flip charts, TV & Video, Multi-media Projector and screen (computer not supplied) are also available at an extra cost

Day Users

Raywell Park can be used with prior booking with the booking secretary as a base for walking/rambling groups. We also offer safe off road parking facilities. Access to toilets and an area for making refreshments can be provided at a nominal rate.

Various activities for groups are also available from the warden to be arranged while on site.

Additional Information

All activities are subject to suitable lighting/ weather conditions and instructors being available.

All potential instructors must provide evidence of activity qualifications to the site office prior to start of session.
