Travel
How much do toilets in the service stations cost and do we need the correct change?
We have change for the toilets in the service stations if necessary.
What is the arrangement for food on the ferry?
We will be purchasing food on the ferry for everyone. This will managed by Sub Camps.
Are we travelling by ferry or tunnel please?
Ferry
Can they take a small blanket on the coach along with their pillow?
Yes. They will need to be able to carry this and sit with it on the coach.
What are the drop-off points on the return journey?
The same places they were picked up at on the outbound journey.
Does their day sack need any identification label?
No, as this will be kept with them.
Does the sleeping bag have to be attached onto the holdall?
No. It just needs a coloured identification tag attached to it.
Programme / Activities
My son missed choosing what he wanted to do in Salzburg. Is there any way he can find out before he travels what he has been assigned please?
Yes, Leaders will share the plan and groupings with them.
Spending Money
How long does a 50c last for a shower?
We are told this is about 3 minutes - plenty of time to have a shower! Change will be available from the campsite shop if you do not have 50c coilns.
Will there be a tuck shop?
There is an onsite shop at the campsite that takes cash only.
Packing and Kit
Can we bring a blow up mattress?
Yes, but it cannot be bigger than a normal roll mat. Please note there will be no facilities for powering pumps to blow these up.
Do they need their normal Group necker as well as the Austria one?
Whilst on the trip everyone will be required to wear their Austria UK necker. Group neckers will not be worn, but young people may bring them to swap with international scouts they meet, if they wish to.
Does swim wear include bikinis?
Young people can wear whatever they feel comfortable in.
Does their day sack need any identification label?
No, as this will be kept with them.
Do I need to bring other tops, besides the provided Austria ones?
You are welcome to bring other tops to change into on an evening.
What are the Austria badges for please? Do they need to go on their uniform?
1 badge is for their uniform, we have uploaded a photo of this position to the Facebook Group. 1 is for their camp blanket and the others are for swapping with international Scouts that they meet.
Are they allowed to take mobile phones?
All electronic items are brought at your own risk. There will be no charging facilities for these.
I don't have an Explorer shirt, I only have a polo shirt. Do I need to buy one?
No.

What is the food menu for the week?

Is food being provided on the return journey IE will there be food all the way back to the local collection point?
Food will be provided all the way back to the central meeting point.
