Have you got what it takes to come and take part in The 6 Factor?

Working in teams of 6 (with a combined age of no more than 54), cubs will be able to complete the challenges set upon them. The day will consist of a number of challenges for all teams to take part in, consisting of some real fun and adventure. 

If you think your pack has got what it takes to rise to the challenge, download the booking form (below) today and reserve your place. We promise you a fantastic day. There will be a presentation ceremony at the end of the day where everyone will be recognised for their achievements, and there will be a special prize for the winners.

Programme

09:30 Arrive

15:00 Campfire and Presentations

Teams will work their way around the bases (each one lasting around 15 minutes) throughout the day, taking part in a number of fun challenges, collecting points for their teams as they go. They will not be able to be assisted by their leaders (as they'll be busy manning the bases!).

Here's just a sample of the bases on offer during the day and there will be many many more... but we don't want to spoil the surprise and tell you everything that's happening!

End zone - Cube challenge

Jenga Arch - Cube challenge

Gunge tank - Feely bags with stars to collect (Sam)

Robin Hood Quest - Archery (different size stars added to bosses)

Cliff Hanger - Obstacle course

The Big Throw - Frisbee golf

The Bob - Malteeser challenge

Refreshments and Lunch

Drinks and Biscuits will be provided throughout the day.

Packed lunches will be required for all attendees.Refreshments

Leader Information

Time for arrival: 09:00, please book in at the Jubilee Building

Collection time: 15:30

Parking and / or drop off and collection

All vehicles are to use Guideacres - there will be no vehicular access to the Scout site.

Cubs will need:

  • Full uniform to be worn
  • Suitable outerwear, waterproofs, coat
  • Sensible outdoor footwear
  • A pack-up for lunch will also be needed. There will be drinks available throughout the day.

Important Notes:

Please ensure that your DC is informed that you are taking part in the 6 Factor, and that you have ‘In Touch’ (FS120075) in place and completed Activity Information Forms (FS120081) completed for everyone taking part along with the Health Form on the Humberside Scouts website.
