In August 2027, young people from across Humberside Scouts will come together for an unforgettable international adventure in Germany — a week filled with friendship, fun, and discovery!

To make it happen, we’re building a brilliant team of adult volunteers who’ll help deliver an incredible experience for every young person taking part. Whether you love organising, cooking, fixing things, or just being part of something big, there’s a role for you in our Germany 2027 Support Team.

🏕 Sub Camp Leader

Lead one of our sub camps of around 50 people, building team spirit, keeping everyone safe and organised, and making sure your team has an unforgettable week of adventure.

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Deputy Sub Camp Leader

Support your Sub Camp Leader, keep everything running smoothly, and take responsibility for equipment and logistics. Every fork, tent peg, and pan counts!

👩‍🍳 Sub Camp Kitchen Manager

Plan and manage catering for your sub camp, supported by your team — ensuring everyone enjoys great meals, good company, and plenty of fun (without doing it all yourself!).

🎯 Sub Camp Programme Lead

Make the magic happen by keeping everyone on track with the programme. Manage timetables, tickets, and activities — ensuring every adventure runs like clockwork.

💚 Welfare Team Member

Support the wellbeing and health of participants and volunteers. A calm, caring presence, helping everyone stay safe, healthy, and happy throughout the event.

🛠 General Site Services Team Member

Keep things running behind the scenes — from kit checks to tent repairs, gas bottles to food runs — the team that makes sure camp life works smoothly and efficiently.

A Look at the Teams and Camp Structure

 

This organogram gives an overview of how our Core Team and Support Team are structured for the Germany 2027 trip.

It shows the Core Team members, their teams, and key areas of responsibility — showing how every role plays an important part in making the event run smoothly. Together, they’ll ensure the trip is safe, well-organised, and an unforgettable experience for everyone taking part.

Leaders can get involved by joining the Support Team in one of the roles listed above. Each job description explains which team the role is part of and who the role reports to or works closely with.
