This important training day will both introduce you to the award and bring you up to date with changes to the way the scheme is being delivered in Scouting.

This important training day will both introduce you to the award and bring you up to date with changes to the way the scheme is being delivered in Scouting.

Are you already delivering D of E in your Explorer or Network Unit or are hoping to in the future?


This important training day will both introduce you to the award and bring you up to date with changes to the way the scheme is being delivered in Scouting.

The day will be a chance to:

  • hear the latest about recording achievements
  • understand how young people can be transferred over into Scouting
  • refresh on the skills, physical and volunteering sections
  • catch up on end of season assessment reflections for expeditions
  • discuss the options of open expeditions across the County
  • plan for next season
  • swap project ideas
  • offer residential opportunities
  • discuss our County approach to options for Bronze expedition
  • talk about how top awards work in the Explorer and Network sections
  • ask questions
  • find out how other units are incorporating D of E into their programme


Leaders will need to bring a packed lunch and refreshments will be provided throughout the day.
