In preparation for the camping and hiking season, discuss and practise packing a bag for a typical Nights or Hikes Away experience for your Section. Go Outdoors do excellent, free sessions on appropriate kit and how to pack it for all Sections. See link below with resources and how to get in touch with your local store.

All Sections can complete this Spark by providing a kit list suitable to the Section. Beavers and Cubs may benefit from colour coding or similar strategies to help them remember. Asking Scouts and Explorers to pack a rucksack without any input first lets you know their previous knowledge and where to start.
