*Fully booked* Beaver Badge Day

Snap It. Share It. See the World Differently.

Our Beavers are picking up their cameras and exploring the world through a new lens at our Beaver Photography Badge Day.

This creative, hands-on event is designed to help young people work through the Beaver Photography Badge criteria in a fun, practical and supportive environment. It’s all about observation, creativity and telling a story through images.

What They’ll Be Doing

Throughout the day, Beavers will take part in a range of activities to complete the requirements of their Photography badge. This will include:

– Learning how to hold and use a camera or device safely
– Understanding what makes a good photograph
– Exploring different types of photos, from portraits to action shots
– Taking photographs indoors and outdoors
– Reviewing and talking about the photos they’ve taken

All activities are age-appropriate and led by experienced volunteers, with a strong focus on safety, creativity and building confidence.

Why It Matters

The Beaver Photography Badge isn’t just about taking pictures. It helps young people to:

– Notice details in the world around them
– Express themselves creatively
– Build confidence in sharing their ideas
– Develop patience and focus

By the end of the day, Beavers will have worked through their badge criteria and gained new skills they can keep developing long after the event.
