£10
Cherokee Cubs Go Green Earth Tribe Adventures At Raywell Park

Build It. Fix It. Earn It.

Our Cubs are getting hands-on at this practical and creative DIY Badge Day. It’s a full day of activity designed to help young people complete their DIY badge while learning real skills they can use at home and in their communities.

From measuring and making to problem-solving and teamwork, this is a chance for Cubs to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in.

What They’ll Be Doing

Throughout the day, Cubs will take part in a range of supervised activities designed to meet the requirements of the DIY badge. Activities will include:

– Learning how to use simple hand tools safely
– Measuring and marking out materials
– Completing small construction projects
– Exploring basic home maintenance skills
– Understanding safety and responsibility when fixing or building

Every activity is practical, age-appropriate, and delivered by experienced volunteers in a supportive environment.

Why It Matters

The DIY badge isn’t just about building things. It’s about:

– Developing independence
– Growing confidence with tools and practical tasks
– Building resilience through trying, adjusting, and trying again
– Learning skills that last beyond Scouting

By the end of the day, Cubs will have made real progress towards their badge — and they’ll be proud of what they’ve achieved.
