Natural History Museum Sleepover

November 7 @ 9:00 am - November 8 @ 5:00 pm
£170.00
*Fully Booked* Cubs Sleepover at the Natural History Museum!

Cubs take on the Natural History Museum!

We are delighted to let you know that we are taking the Cubs on a sleepover at the Natural History Museum!

We will be travelling down to London on Saturday morning, arriving in London around 2pm.

Upon arriving in London, groups will have the option of either planning their own adventure around London or joining the events team on a ready-made adventure. This will be shared closer to the time, but we welcome any suggestions you may have.

All groups will meet at a designated collection point at 5pm. We will then be collected by our coach and transported to the awesome Natural History Museum. We will have our evening meal before entering the museum at 6:30pm.

After entering the museum, we will have a few exciting activities, a tour, possibly a talk by a professor at the museum, and a bedtime story before settling down for sleep in the Hintze Hall.  On Sunday morning, we will have breakfast and another activity before exploring the museum until lunchtime.

We then head home back up to beautiful Yorkshire after a fantastic weekend!

Places are limited and you will need to book early! We will have a reserve list just in case. We need Packs to book on a ratio of 1:6 please. If you do not have enough adult volunteers to register your Pack, please contact us and a member of the Events Team will make up your numbers. Cubs must be aged between 8 and 10½ on the date of the event.

You can book your Cub Pack on here: https://forms.cloud.microsoft/e/j6y46pDRV8

The price is £170 for Cubs and £50 for Leaders.

The price includes travel to and from London, sleepover fees, breakfast and lunch on Sunday. Everyone will need to bring a pack up lunch and pack up evening meal for the Saturday – we will eat our lunch on the coach and our evening meal before we go into the museum. Groups doing their own adventure around London will need to do their own risk assessment. Please note public transport costs are not included in the cost so you will need to factor this into your own costs if you want to use public transport on your self-led adventure.

Everyone will need to bring:

  • Sleeping bag
  • Toothbrush
  • Reusable water bottle
  • Clothes to sleep in
  • Pack up for lunch
  • Pack up for evening meal
  • A pillow is optional
  • Cub jumper and necker
  • Change of clothes for Sunday (We will hopefully still wear the Cub jumper and necker on Sunday)
  • Only one bag is allowed so everything must fit into one bag.

A thin foam roll mat is provided by the museum – you may bring your own, but they do not allow any inflatable air beds or mats over 2 inches thick.

Please do not bring anything of sentimental or financial value as we can take no responsibility for loss or damage to any items. There are no charging points to charge mobile phones either.

We will need parents/carers to fill in a consent form before the trip and these will be sent out to all Cub Packs before the trip.

It is Remembrance Sunday on the 8th November and we will have our own short ceremony to show our respects.

Please email events@humbersidescouts.org.uk if you have any questions!

Looking forward to taking you on this Roarsome adventure!
