Location: The Deep, Hull — the UK’s only sub-marium
Time: 6:00pm to 8:00am (overnight event)
Who can attend: Squirrels, Beavers & Cubs

The evening includes:

Costs / What’s Included

Young People: £38.75

Volunteers / Young Leaders (not doing craft): £12.50

Ratios & Adult Requirements

  • Minimum ratio for your section: Squirrels – 1 adult : 4 young people, Beavers & Cubs – 1 adult : 6 young people
  • All adults must have:
    • Up-to-date DBS check recorded on The Scouts Membership System
    • Completed safety and safeguarding learning

Booking Information

To book, email: events@humbersidescouts.org.uk with the following information:

  • Group name
  • Group name on Online Scout Manager for event sharing
  • Number of young people (approximate numbers for now)
  • Number of non-participating Young Leaders (approximate numbers for now)
  • Number of volunteers (approximate numbers for now)

Payment & Booking Rules

  • Payments are non-refundable
  • Booking confirmed only after deposit is paid
  • Deposit of £10 per young person must be paid within 10 days of invoice being sent or places are released
  • Full payment due: 25th March 2026
  • Cancellations after 15th March are still charged in full
  • Places are allocated on a first come, first served
  • Maximum capacity: 165 people total (young people + volunteers)

Additional Information

  • Nights Away Notifications
    • Humberside County will submit one NAN for all sections attending and Risk Assessments will be shared with groups.
  • DBS / Learning Requirements
    • All adults must:
      • Be recorded on NAN forms
      • Have valid DBS
      • Have completed safety & safeguarding modules
  • Risk Assessments
    • A Master RA will be provided in March 2026
    • Groups must create their own for:
      • Transport to/from the event
      • Any activities they run themselves
  • Payment Method
    • Invoices sent after booking
    • Payments via Bank transfer or Cheque
