The Events Team plays a vital role in planning, organising, and delivering exciting events for young people and volunteers. From badge days to large-scale camps and celebrations, this team ensures every event runs smoothly and provides a memorable experience for all involved.
We’re looking for enthusiastic Team Members to help make Scouting events engaging, safe, and fun.
What does the team do?
Events Team Members support the planning and delivery of a wide variety of events across the county. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the organisation and delivery of events for young people and adults, from camps and training weekends to large county celebrations.
- Helping with planning meetings to prepare for events and ensure all logistics are in place.
- Supporting bookings and registrations, including tracking attendance and communicating with participants.
- Helping manage practical arrangements such as venue setup, equipment, and supplies.
- Providing support on the day of events, ensuring activities run safely and smoothly.
- Promoting events and supporting volunteers to help young people make the most of every Scouting experience.
Skills & attributes we’re looking for
- Ability to work well in a team
- Enthusiasm for helping deliver events for young people
- Confidence communicating with volunteers and young people of all ages
- Flexibility and problem-solving skills
- Passion for creating memorable Scouting experiences
