Monopoly Run Live: The Ultimate London Scout & Guide Adventure!

Get ready for the country's largest Monopoly-themed event!

Monopoly Run Live transforms the real streets of London into your massive game board. Join 9,000 other Scouts and Guides from across the UK for the ultimate Wide Game experience.

Using a bespoke mobile app, your team will race to visit the capital's most iconic locations. It's the perfect way to explore the city, have an unforgettable weekend, and develop essential #skillsforlife!

Your London Weekender: Outline Programme
 

Friday, March 6th, 2026: Arrival

We'll travel in comfort by coach, departing from 17:30. We've got a long trip ahead, with a choice of 2–3 local pick-up points depending on final numbers. Our base for the weekend will be the South London Scout Centre in Dulwich, where we'll have indoor accommodation. We'll arrive late Friday night and head straight to bed, ready for an early start!

Saturday, March 7th, 2026: The Run!

It's an early rise! After a quick breakfast, we'll take the train into Central London to get ready for the main event.

The Game:

Explorers can form their own teams (minimum of 3 and maximum of 7), either within your unit or with friends from other groups.

We'll make sure everyone understands the rules before we unleash you onto the streets!

The Humberside Scouts Event Team will be in Central London all day, checking in with teams regularly, monitoring progress, and providing support whenever needed.

Evening Fun: After the Monopoly Run finishes, we'll all meet up, and you'll get a couple of hours of free time to explore the West End and enjoy some shopping. We then head back to Dulwich for a well-earned dinner and a good rest.

Sunday, March 8th, 2026: Sightseeing & Return

After breakfast, we'll pack up our gear, load the coach, and head back into Central London for a few more hours of exploring!

We'll start the day at a museum or major tourist attraction. (Got ideas? Let us know—we welcome your suggestions!)

Explorers will then have more free time for sightseeing, more shopping, or grabbing lunch.

We'll meet up at 14:00 to board the coach and head home.

Cost and What's Included

The maximum cost for Explorers is £150 per person.

Your fee is all-inclusive and covers:

• Return Coach Travel from our central area to London (Friday/Sunday).
• Accommodation for the weekend at the South London Scout Centre in Dulwich (mostly bunks, with a small number of floor spaces).
• Meals: Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday, plus the Evening Meal on Saturday.
• Event Entry Fees for Monopoly Run Live (includes a commemorative badge!).
• All Weekend Trips: Transport and entry costs for the Sunday sightseeing attraction and the Saturday West End trip.

What Explorers Need to Bring

Please ensure you are prepared for the weekend with:

• Packed lunches or money to buy lunch on Saturday and Sunday.
• Travel or Contactless Cards for use on the TfL (Transport for London) network. (We estimate spending no more than £10 per day on tube/bus travel.)

A full kit list and final travel details will be sent out closer to the event.

Booking Your Place

Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Explorers

If you're excited to take part, please ask your Unit Leaders to contact the Events Team (events@humbersidescouts.org.uk) to secure your place!

Explorer Leaders

If your unit wants to be involved, please email the Events Team (events@humbersidescouts.org.uk). We will share an OSM event link with you, allowing your Explorers to sign up in the usual way.

Important Note for Leaders: You do not need to accompany your Explorers. A dedicated team of experienced leaders from the Humberside Events Team will provide supervision for the entire weekend. If you would like to volunteer to join us, please let us know, as a small number of adult places may be available.

Payment

A £25 per person deposit is required upon booking to secure your place.

The remaining balance must be paid by February 15th, 2026.
