Giving Back to the Local Coastline
Scouts from 1st New Waltham swapped their usual meeting place for the beach this week, helping to remove litter from the local coastline.
Their efforts helped create a cleaner, safer and more enjoyable space for everyone who uses the beach, while also supporting the environment and local wildlife.
Taking Action in the Community
The Scouts worked hard throughout the evening, collecting a large quantity of litter and showing what young people can achieve when they work together.
Members of the public stopped to chat and share words of thanks, giving the Scouts a chance to see how much their efforts were appreciated by the local community.
Skills, Teamwork and Sandcastles
After the litter pick, there was still time for some creativity with a sandcastle competition.
It was a great way to finish the session, bringing together teamwork, fun and a well-earned chance to enjoy the beach after making a positive difference.
