We are incredibly proud to share some truly wonderful news from our community. This week, our very own Frank stepped through the gates of Buckingham Palace to attend a Royal Garden Party—a well-deserved reward for a lifetime of service.

The invitation follows the prestigious award of Frank’s British Empire Medal (BEM), an honor that recognizes his exceptional dedication and the selfless impact he has made over several decades.

A Lifetime of Service

Today is the perfect opportunity to shine a light on the incredible milestones he has reached:

  • 58 Years of Scouting: This May marks a staggering 58 years of service to the Scouting movement. Frank has spent a lifetime mentoring, leading, and inspiring countless young people, helping them find their confidence and their way in the world.
  • A Pillar of the RNLI: Frank is also a devoted, long-time volunteer and a passionate supporter of the RNLI. The significant time and energy he pours into supporting his station is a testament to his commitment to saving lives and helping others.

A Day at the Palace

Frank officially attended the Palace yesterday, joining other distinguished guests on the royal lawns. After decades of hard work behind the scenes in our community, seeing him recognized on such a grand stage is a moment of pride for all of us.

"Frank, thank you for your decades of commitment and your unwavering heart for helping others. We hope you had a magical afternoon at the Palace—it is a truly deserved recognition of everything you do."
