A full-on day of Cubs and Scouts fun

What an absolutely brilliant day out for 1st Keyingham Cubs and Scouts, who spent the day getting stuck into everything on offer at Let Loose Adventure Park. From the moment they arrived, it was all go — active, outdoors, and exactly what Scouting is about.

So much to get involved in

There was no shortage of things to try, explore, and master. The young people threw themselves into the experience, supporting each other and giving everything a go:

  • Low ropes and high ropes challenges
  • Rock climbing and the squirrel run
  • Fire pit building, fire making and fire lighting
  • Toasting marshmallows and making s’mores
  • Soft archery and tennis ball wall
  • Go-karts, climbing frames, swings and tunnels
  • Beanbag throwing, table hockey and table football
  • Plenty of open space to run, play and just be Cubs and Scouts

It was one of those days where energy levels stayed high from start to finish, with lots of laughter, encouragement, and teamwork along the way.

Thanks to a brilliant team

A huge thank you goes to Steve, Joe and Reian for making the day such a success. Their clear instructions, calm manner, patience, and constant encouragement created a safe, welcoming environment where young people could challenge themselves with confidence.

Providing a space like this — where Cubs and Scouts can learn practical skills, try new activities, and have fun together — makes a real difference.

Why days like this matter

Experiences like this help young people build resilience, confidence, and friendships, all while having a great time outdoors. It’s Scouting at its best: active, supportive, and led by volunteers who care.
