Adventure doesn’t always require a long journey—sometimes it’s right on our doorstep!

Our 1st New Waltham Beavers recently swapped their usual meeting place for the great outdoors, embarking on an exciting river walk guided by James, The Canoe River Cleaner.

With curious eyes looking high and low, our young adventurers explored the riverbank to learn about local plants, native wildlife, and the importance of caring for our environment. The highlight of the evening came when the Beavers spotted a flock of bright green parakeets—a moment that brought plenty of excitement to the group!

Evenings like this showcase the heart of the Beaver section: getting outdoors, asking big questions, discovering nature, and building vital #SkillsForLife.

A massive thank you to James for sharing his expertise and inspiring our young people to appreciate the local ecosystem. Well done to all the Beavers for completing another fantastic outdoor adventure!
