We have some incredibly exciting news to share with our community! 1st Leven Scouts is officially growing. We are thrilled to announce the launch of our brand-new Squirrels section, bringing the adventure of Scouting to our youngest members yet!
What is Squirrels?
Squirrels is the newest branch of the Scouts family, specifically designed for children aged 4 to 6 years old. It’s a wonderful opportunity for young people to take their first steps into the world of Scouting, focusing on making friends, playing outdoors, and earning their very first badges.
In a Squirrel Drey, your little ones will:

Explore the Great Outdoors: Discovering nature right here in East Yorkshire.

Build Confidence: Learning new skills through play and storytelling.

Make New Friends: Joining a community of peers in a safe, supportive environment.
A New Chapter for Leven
While Squirrels groups are popping up across the country, we are incredibly proud to bring this opportunity directly to the children of Leven and the surrounding areas.
As part of the Beverley and Hornsea Scouts district, 1st Leven is committed to providing “Skills for Life.” By starting at age four, our Squirrels get a head start on developing the teamwork and resilience that Scouting is famous for.
