Our latest session at South Holderness District Explorers was the perfect example of why our unit nights are completely unpredictable in the best possible way. We went from serious problem-solving to absolute chaotic fun without missing a beat.
How the Night Unfolded
- ⚡ The Big Pitch (Dragon’s Den Style): We kicked off by digging into the science behind different global energy sources. The Explorers teamed up to build persuasive business cases, pitching their chosen energy solutions to our leaders to see who could secure the investment.
- 🪶 The Controlled Chaos: Once the serious thinking was done, things took an undeniably mad turn. Out came the pillows for an epic, high-energy pillow fight that cleared out whatever leftover energy the team had.
- 🃏 Chilling Out with Switch 16: To bring everyone back down to earth before heading home, we rounded off the evening relaxed on the floor, laughing through a few rounds of Switch 16.
Skills for Life (With Plenty of Laughter Along the Way)
Explorer Scouts is built on balance. One minute our young people are honing practical communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills; the next, they’re letting loose and blowing off steam after a tough week at school or college.
You never quite know what a South Holderness Explorers night will throw at you, but you can always count on great friends, new challenges, and plenty of laughs.
