In small groups, make a stop motion film with a Scouting theme. You could use action figures, toys, models or construction kits such as Lego. Stop Motion films are created by taking tens to thousands of pictures of a model that has been moved slightly each time. When the photos are stitched together and played quickly, it gives the appearance that the model is moving on it's own. It works best with a fixed background setting and the moving parts in the foreground. You will need a secure place to fix the camera to ensure it stays in the same place for each picture. There are lots of Apps and computer programmes that will help with the editing of your pictures afterwards too. |

Beavers and Cubs will need help with making sure that the changes they make to each picture are not too big. Scout and Explorers could make it more challenging by having more than one thing moving in their frame. |
