ABOUT  PRIMROSE HILL

Primrose Hill camp site is situated within hundreds of acres of mature woodland, located just two miles east of the town of Scunthorpe in North Lincolnshire with convenient access just one hundred yards from Junction 4 of the M180 on the A15 spur. (OS Explorer Map 281 Ancholme Valley Grid Ref SE 957 065)

The site is managed by North Lincolnshire District Scout Council for the use of youth groups with a dedicated qualified volunteer activities team for those groups unable to provide their own instructors. It is suitable for day/evening visits, weekend camps or longer stays.

Camping and Accommodation

Primrose Hill has a large number of campsite areas available to choose from, and two well-equipped buildings for day or residential use. It is suitable for individual groups or District/County events

Nelthorpe was refurbished to a high standard and St Vincent refurbished to a similar standard following a substantial grant from North Lincolnshire Council.

There are three open-side shelters for meal-times and altar fires are available on request from the camp wardens.

Toilets are available, as is a waste-disposal point, and water stand-pipes are located conveniently around the camp.

Primrose Hill also has two large camp-fire circles.
