FAQs

How much does it cost for Leaders?

Leaders are free of charge.

Where will the Beavers sleep?

In tents, with the rest of their Scout Group's Sections.

No one in our Scout Group has a Nights Away Permit. Can we still attend?

Yes, please include this on your booking form and we will be in touch to discuss this with you.

When can we set up our camping area?

  • Wednesday between 17:30 - 21:00
  • Thursday from 09:00
  • Arrivals and Departures for those arriving after 17:00 will be subject to the Traffic Management Plan

When can parents / carers and young people arrive

Groups will need to agree drop and collection times locally to ensure that leaders arrive before young people, however those arriving after 17:00 on Thursday will be subject to the Traffic Management Plan and therefore it is important that you have shared this with parents / carers as well as your leadership team.

Will adults receive a necker?

Yes, all adults will receive a necker to match their subcamp and will be required to wear this around site, during the camp.

Will adults receive a badge?

As adults do not pay to attend the camp, the budget does not include badges for adults too. If we have any left over at the end of the camp, they will go on sale for adults to buy, on a first come first served basis.

Can we cook on a fire in our subcamps?

No. Fire pits and campfires of any kind are not allowed on subcamps. All cooking must be on gas (or other suitably fueled) stoves.
