Eurojam Unit Leader Appointed!

The County Commissioner has been delighted to approve the appointment of Trevor Lidgard to the role of Unit Leader for the Humberside Unit trip to the European Jamboree in 2020.

The European Jamboree is an international adventure for explorer scouts from around the round to come together to share fun, friendship and adventure. After a break, the European Jamboree returns in 2020 and will be hosted in Poland. As a county, we have been lucky enough to secure one full unit of 36 young people and 4 adult leaders. This Unit will also include up to an additional 5 adult volunteers to serve as International Service Team members.

Trevor’s role will involve providing direction and support to the unit and IST and ensure that every member has a unique experience where there experience has been shaped directly by young people.

During December 2018, we held a selection event to appoint other adult volunteers to the team. We look forward to sharing those with you shortly.

Trevor was formally invested into the role by young people from the County at Raywell Park.
