Cluster Training Weekend
Saturday, 7th September 2024
9am-4pm
Adult Training Day covering modules from the adult training scheme.
Meals and Refreshments
Teas and coffees will be provided throughout the day.
If you are present for the days only, please bring a packed lunch.
If you are staying over night for the weekend please bring a packed lunch for the Saturday only, other meals will be provided.
Accommodation
Accommodation will be indoors and you will need a sleeping bag and an overnight bag.
Cost
Training is free of charge to all Leaders in Humberside County.
However, The County reserves the right to make a charge of £10 per person for any places booked where people do not turn up or cancel prior to the weekend, with short notice.
Places canceled within 48 hours are subject to a £10 charge.

09:30 Modules 1,3 & 5 combined - An introduction to Scouting, Tools for thee Job and the Fundamentals of Scouting.
12:30 Lunch
13:00 Module 16 Introduction to a Residential Experience
15:30 Module 7 - Scouting for All
17:30 Break
18:00 Evening Meal
19:00 Module 18 Practical Skills (Please bring a skill and the equipment with you on the day that you use with your section)
Sunday
08:00 Breakfast, cleared & clean the sleeping accommodation.
08:50 Arrive and Sign-in

Modules Covered
1 Essential Information
To provide the basic information required to ensure that adults involved in Scouting:
- do not put themselves and others at risk through lack of knowledge
- are aware of the Purpose, Values and Method of Scouting
- are aware of the management and support structures of Scouting in outline and of immediately relevant parts of the structure in detail.
2 Personal Learning Plan
To create a plan for an individual’s learning based on the requirements of the job and taking into account the individual’s needs. The plan will show the training and the support that the individual will receive to help them fulfil the learning programme and will include a progress review timetable.
3 Tools for the Job (Section Leaders)
To provide the basic information on the individual’s role or area of responsibility and some practical help to get the
individual started in the role.
7 Scouting for All
To provide an introduction to equal opportunities and practical advice about how to make Scouting inclusive for all.
16 Introduction to Residential Experiences
To enable section leaders and supporters who may support residential experiences for young people to understand the
purpose that residential experiences play in Scouting.
18 Practical Skills
To enable adults to gain and develop practical skills for the benefit of young people in their section.
