Kayaking Day

Our next kayaking day using the facilities of the Glanford and Scunthorpe Canoe Club will take place on 30 July

Our next kayaking day using the facilities of the Glanford and Scunthorpe Canoe Club will take place this month and we have 30 places in total (3 groups of 10).

General Information

Number of sessions.  Three
Time on the Water One Hour Per Group
Arrival Times 09:30 / 11:00 / 12:30
'On The Water' Start Times 10:00 / 11:30 / 13:00
Number per session* 10 young people (maximum)
Available to Cubs, Scouts, Explorers
What to wear. Shoes/trainers, jogging bottoms, tee shirt and jumper.,wind proof jacket 
These will get wet so bring a towel and a change of clothes.
Uniform is not required

*Sessions can  be made up of more than one Group (up to 10 people per session)

Leader Information

Leaders must maintain control of their sections while on the bank

An Activity Form will be forwarded once booking confirmed. The form must be completed and brought to the session. 
No form, no Kayaking

Booking to Alan Hayward by e mail to alan.hayward@humbersidescouts.org.uk. Bookings will be made on a 'first come first first served' basis.

Price

£6.00 per head to be paid to Humberside Scouts (BACS preferred) who will submit an invoice to the Group after the event. Any booked places that are not filled will be charged

Safety Information

Buoyancy aids will be supplied and fitted by the instructors.

All instructions issued by the kayaking instructors must be followed

Club facilities are available for changing

Toilets are situated in the Leisure Centre. Adult supervision is need when the young people  visit the Leisure Centre as it is a public facility (remember to follow the Yellow Card)

Sessions are run by Scout Association members who hold the required activity permits.
