Here's the question; could your Group do with more volunteers?

As an organisation, we know that volunteer recruitment is on the mind and agenda for many groups. With this in mind, we have designed an interactive workshop on finding and keeping volunteers alongside the tools and methods that you could use. 

Run by HQ Staff from the Growth and Communities Team and open to all volunteers in Scouts. 

Our Face-to-Face Volunteer Recruitment Workshop lasts about 4 hours, including breaks, and will cover these topics: 

-       The Recruitment Cycle (Simple steps to successful recruitment) 

-       Overcoming barriers 

-       Preparing to recruit 

-       Working out what you actually need 

-       How to get volunteers through the door 

-       Welcoming and supporting new volunteers 

-       Writing a recruitment plan 

It’s an interactive workshop with lots of different activities designed to get people talking and working together. 

Closer to the time of the workshop, the team will also send out an email with further details to all volunteers who have signed up.
