Whether you are looking to complete your Explorer Belt in the near future, or have no idea what it is all about, or whether you have just started planning your trip, come along to Raywell to have a chat with others in the same boat!
We have invited the County International Team and also teams that have recently finished their Explorer Belt to come and chat to us about their adventures. We are hoping to gather enough interest to put a team (or a few teams together) for an Explorer Belt in the next 12 -24 Months. We are also there to assist any teams with their planning.
This award contributes to your King's Scout Award, so, if that is on your list - come and see us!
We will look at the requirements needed to complete the Explorer Belt and where to start planning it all!
To complete your Explorer Belt, you will need to be an Explorer Scout aged 16 or over, or a Scout Network member.
There is a 10-day expedition to complete as part of a team outside of the UK where you get to show off your Scouting skills. There's opportunities to make new friends or reconnect with scouting friends that you have made over the years.
We are here to help facilitate, so if there is something you would like to know more about, please get in touch - events@humbersidescouts.org.uk
You could be an individual or already formed a small team and needing extra support or team members.
We can look at budgeting, skills needed, admin requirements, first aid training requirements, projects and destinations.
Refreshments will be available!
More information in the meantime can be found on the website: https://www.scouts.org.uk/top-awards/explorer-belt/
