Squirrels will be able to tick off all the requirements of the Squirrel Scout Go Wild Activity Badge during this badge day and may even be able to go on a wild safari!
There will also be other fun activities to keep them happy and go home exhausted!
Arrival is from 9:45am and we will aim to start at 10:15am. We will have a story and closing ceremony at 2pm, ready for collection at 2:15pm.
Everyone will receive the Go Wild Activity Badge at the end of the day!
Bookings
Squirrel Dreys can sign up via their Leader.
Please book your Drey on via the online form here: https://forms.office.com/e/9YLcwhDaud
If you use the Parent Portal function of OSM, we will then share the OSM Event with your Section, to replace the need for paper health forms for the day.
If you do not use the Parent Portal function of OSM, please indicate this on the online booking form and we will send you the paper forms to be completed instead.
Leaders
Leaders need to attend with their Squirrels in the correct ratios. Parent helpers are welcome along too. No animal experience is needed, just a sense of fun and lots of patience!
What to bring
Squirrels will need:
- Their Squirrel uniform and necker
- Suitable clothes for going on safari (it may get messy)
- Day sack with packed lunch and reusable water bottle (everything should be labelled please in case it gets lost!)
- Waterproofs
- Sun hat or warm hat, depending on the weather.
Photographs, Videos and Audio
Throughout the badge day, Leaders will be capturing the great fun that the Squirrels are having via photos, videos and audio recordings.
Parents/Carers should ensure they sign or do not sign the box on the Young Person Health Form accordingly and Leaders should ensure the Events Team are made aware of any young people who cannot have their photos, videos or audio shared publicly.
