2025 Assessor Workshop

Saturday, 22nd March 2025
9-11am

Join other Activity and Nights Away Assessors from around the County to keep up to date with your ongoing learning.

As discussed at our Refresher Training in May 2024, here is the first of our Assessor Workshops to allow Activity and Nights Away Assessors to remain up to date, network with others, share good practice and meet the minimum number of ongoing learning hours for the role.

Please complete this online booking form to let us know that you will be attending: forms.office.com/e/SA0bkH7JaR

The plan for the day is as follows:

8:45am

Arrive from this time for a free breakfast!

9:00am

Whole group discussion on topics such as:

  • Implementation of our Permit Standards
  • Why restrictions can help enable more adventurous activities and nights away for young people
  • Permits in the new Membership System
  • Useful updates for assessors:
    • Water classifications in Humberside
    • Prohibited and restricted camping areas in Humberside

9:45am

We will split into small groups to do this, looking at anonymised examples of assessments to see what we can learn from them for the future.

10:50am

Feedback on the session and suggestions for next time.

11:00am

Home time

Key volunteers will be available afterwards to chat through any specific queries or questions.
