Scouting is Growing

Better Prepared.jpg

We are delighted to be part of Scouting's 'Better Prepared' project, which with the support and funding from the Youth United Foundation, Scouting in Humberside will be growing in a number of areas.

The Better Prepared campaign is part of The Scout Association’s Vision to 2018 and will make a real difference to even more young people’s lives in selected areas across the UK.

Rachel Rushmer, a current member of Grimsby and Cleethorpes District, is one of the latest recruits to join the Regional Development Service and will be working to grow Scouting throughout our County.

The Better Prepared project aims to open twenty new sections across the County over the next eighteen months. Working in Blacktoft Beacon, City of Hull, Grimsby and Cleethorpes, North Lincolnshire and Wolds and Coast Districts, the opportunities to grow Scouting within the County are fantastic.

We know that Scouting helps to develop lives through the provision of life skills and opportunities that young people do not otherwise experience and working with the Youth United Foundation will enable us to provide these opportunities to many more young people with the Humberside Scout County.
