Beaver Fun Day

Beaver Fun Day 2015 Humberside Scouts

There was some doubt about the weather in the days leading up to the event, with the forecast of rain looming over us. However, there needn't have been any worries as the day was warm and dry throughout.  420 Beaver Scouts descended on Raywell Park on Sunday morning for what was a fantastic day of fun and adventure for them all.

The day was based on an international theme and got off to a start with a welcome in six languages. The young people that were there took part in a number of activities laid on for them including Karting, Bouncy Castles, Cooking and tasting of food as well as the chance to learn various circus skills. There were also opportunities to make things that they could take home, whilst remembering to got their passports stamped as they visited each represented country throughout the day.

There was a brief pause for lunch, but many young people couldn't wait to get back on with the activities, with requests to blow the bouncy castles back up and the Karting being non stop throughout the break.

At the end of the day, there was a fantastic show by The Earth Bound Misfits which, as always, finished the day off on a high with loud cheers and clapping throughout - The team there never fail to perform brilliantly, capturing the attention of the whole audience.
