Nature took centre stage as Hessle Scout Group’s Cherokee Cubs got to work during their camp at Raywell Park, all as part of their journey towards earning the Earth Tribe Award — a badge that encourages young people to become true Champions for Nature 🌍

Determined to make a difference, the Cubs rolled up their sleeves and got creative, building bird boxes and bug hotels to help support the biodiversity around the activity centre. These wildlife-friendly homes are now proudly in place across Raywell Park, offering shelter to insects and birds alike 🐞🕊️

In addition to their building efforts, the Cubs also met with the Humberside Scouts County Lead Volunteer to discuss even more ways to make Raywell Park a greener, more eco-friendly space. Their ideas and enthusiasm showed just how much young people care about the planet — and how they’re ready to take action!

The Earth Tribe Award is all about understanding our impact on the world, making small changes, and inspiring others to do the same. Hessle’s Cherokee Cubs have certainly lived up to that mission.

Well done to everyone involved — the future of the planet is in good hands! 💚🌱
