To round off the term in the most thoughtful way, 5th Beverley Wesley Scout Group’s Cubs hosted their much-loved Mother’s Day Tea Party — a wonderful evening dedicated to celebrating the amazing women in their lives.

With pride and excitement, the Cubs transformed their hall into a cosy and welcoming tea room. From arranging tables to laying out decorations, they took the lead in preparing the space for their special guests.

Earlier in the evening, each Cub had carefully decorated a cake — some colourful, some creative, and all made with love. These were then proudly served with hot drinks as guests arrived, with Cubs acting as attentive and respectful hosts. There were plenty of smiles, some emotional moments, and lots of appreciation shared between Cubs and their guests.

What made the event even more special was the responsibility shown throughout the evening. Not only did the Cubs serve refreshments, but they also handled the washing up and tidying — proving once again that Scouting is about more than just adventure. It’s about learning life skills, showing gratitude, and giving back to those who support us every day.

Events like this highlight the values at the heart of Scouting — kindness, responsibility, and community. A big well done to all the Cubs and leaders who made it happen, and to the wonderful guests who joined them for such a special celebration 💐
