St Georges Day - with a difference

We've all been to St Georges Day parades as leaders and kids in Scouting and we know that some think it can be a bit dated. Well we agree, so we decided to make our S Georges day celebration into something that hasn't been done before in Hull. Whilst keeping the tradition of the march, which is a fantastic opportunity to show people how big Scouting is in Hull (as well as make some noise in the city centre!), the service was transformed into something else.
Firstly, there were slideshows running to highlight everything that had happened in the previous year amongst the groups in Hull, then came the service. Getting the formalities out of the way in the first fifteen minutes allowed for the rest of the service to be transformed into a camp fire... in a church! Whilst we couldn't light a fire (we didn't think that would be too clever with all the wood in the church), the screens were changed to show a burning fire and everyone joined in to what was well and truly something different.
The question has already been asked, how do we beat that next year? Answers on a postcard please!
