Being able to pitch and strike a tent is another vital skill for camp, that works well when everyone is doing it the same way. For this Spark you should create a 'How To' video showing how to pitch and strike a tent that your Section normally uses. They should break the video into sections giving step-by-step instructions for each stage. Shots from the video could also be printed out on to cards and kept with the tent for future reference.

Beavers will need a demonstration of what to do beforehand and adult help during the video. Cubs may need some assistance with the taller parts of the tents. This would be a good opportunity for Sixers experienced in camping to take the lead. Experienced Scouts and Explorers should need no help with this!
