Programme Spark

Split your section in groups of 4. They are then given a tent unfamiliar to them with the instructions to pitch it correctly in you given length of time.

However, 1 member of the team is blindfolded, 1 member has ear defenders on and the other member can't talk. The member left is the team leader that gives out the instructions, but can't touch any part of the tent. You can double or triple these positions up for teams bigger than 4.

The team that pitches the tent the fastest is the winner. Time penalties could be given if a member breaks their disadvantage.

Adapting for each Section

Badge Links

Smaller and simpler tents could be given to younger Sections, whilst Scouts and Explorers could be given mess tents or dining shelters.
